Born in 1972, Jahidur Rahman moved to the UK at the age of five. His early years were shaped by resilience. Facing discrimination as a minority in the 70s UK, he learned the value of community and solidarity. Tragedy struck at age 13 when he lost his father, Haji Aftab Ali. Forced to grow up quickly, he took on family responsibilities, a period that forged his character and determination to help others facing hardship.

Political Journey

Following the Revolution of 2024, senior leaders invited Jahidur Rahman to join national politics. He is a Central Committee Member of Gono Odhikar Parishad (GOP) and serves as the Divisional Coordinator for Sylhet. His politics are defined by "Clean Politics"—transparency, accountability, and a refusal to engage in corruption.
